Long and the short of it, folks:

A creative combination of natural disasters (flooding... twice!) and urgent family business (I'd rather not explain that one, but suffice it to say it was pretty darned serious) has forced this unexpected mini-hiatus.

Combine that with the fact that Megs and I are going to Scrubbo's wedding this weekend, and I can realistically predict that new comics will appear again no sooner than next week, unless I squeeze one or two off this week now that some of the crises have been downgraded and I've been able to catch a few hours' sleep again.

Apologies, but family and home had to come first.

Hey all, as you may have already guessed, there will only be two comics this week. Nextweek may be similar, though we'll see. This, of course, is mainly due to work, but it's like I had warned all of you when I returned in April: as much as I love drawing, I can't afford to make it a priority -- work and life always come first.

That said, I don't think you guys have to worry about me disappearing again anytime soon.

Still in busy mode for at least a few more weeks, so the upcoming comics (like today's) may appear a little less refined and "sketchier" than usual...

Essneitally, I am trying to doodle whenever I can squeeze in free time at night from a hotel room while I am flying across the country and stuff for work. I've got three comics already uploaded for this week, and I'm hoping to have three more drawn by the time I get back home this coming weekend, and so on.

Gah! I completely forgot to let you all know what was going on this week, didn't I!?

Long story short, and as I had kinda warned earlier, I *did* in fact get called away to travel all over the country for the next little while, and was given all sorts of fun paperwork to take care of, too...

So I'm writing this from my Calgary hotel room right now, as I get ready to start up yet another report, and I regret to tell you that I won't have a comic coming up this week, but I will do my best to draw two or three when I get back home this weekend, so you have some for when I'm gone yet again next week (this time to Toronto and Winnipeg).

So apologies for not having let you know sooner -- I honestly thought I had put in a blog post when I got up at 5am on Monday morning, but obviously I was more asleep than I thought!
